A hike up Crow Pass

Hi again,

We went for a nice day hike the other day on the Crow Pass trail.  We set out from Girdwood, and hiked to the high point (up to the glacier).  The hike was fun; the views were great!

Emilee & Grace take a break along the trail.

Emilee admires the view down the valley.

Time for a lunch break.  We found a nice, tranquil spot by an alpine pond.

Grace (a bit exhausted by the climb) decided to take a short nap.

Here we are at the top of the pass.

Looks like you had a blast - but it also looks so rugged! Has it always been like that? I guess I've been away too long. I was telling a customer about this today and remembering that fall after my mission when i hiked up that pass and it started to snow, so i did a 1,000 ft glissade with a survival knife as my brake. That was probably one of the craziest things I've ever done. Good memories, thanks for bringing them back.
