Graduations and other things

The end of the school year brought Celebrations

Grace (left) and her friends at her 6th grade graduation ceremony

Grace transferred to a more challenging school for her final year of elementary. It was difficult at first to catch up with the other students, but with our steady 'encouragement' she brought her grades up at the end of the year, earning the most improved award.

Grace also took up the cello and viola, and surprised us with her dedication and natural ability. She has discovered a new passionThis week she and her sister are participating in a 'pioneer' trek through the Alaskan wilderness. We are anticipating some sore feet tomorrow when we go to pick them up at the end of their journey.

Emilee graduated with Honors

Emilee is looking forward to attending college here in Alaska this fall, studying architectural engineering.

Emilee is currently working as a chiropractic assistant. For her graduation present, she requested a new bicycle. She is hoping to save a 'bunch' of money on gas, as well as get into better shape.
